Imperial Stouts were created in order to satisfy the Russian Imperial  Court's palate for stronger and more robust beers. After evolving for  centuries, this style is now appreciated for its maltiness, roastiness  and robustness. A true heart warmer, especially, but not restricted to,  the darker and colder months of the year.

While empires continue to exist, we prefer things that are more  independent, enlightened and scientific. So we have created the Metric  Uncle Imperial Stout, a delicious beer with a strong, malty roastiness  that contributes tones of dark chocolate and coffee, paired with some  caramel and a complex hoppiness to balance it out, achieved by using a  heavy dose of american hops.
